Kim Kardashian uses former prisoner she helped free as shapewear model

Kim Kardashian West has selected former inmate Alice Johnson as one of the models for her new shapewear line, SKIMS.

The reality star helped secure Johnson's release from prison in June 2018 after Johnson served more than 20 years of a life sentence on a first-time drug conspiracy and money laundering charge.

Kardashian West personally lobbied US President Donald Trump and also met with Jared Kushner, a senior adviser to Trump who has spearheaded efforts at sentencing and prison reform for the administration.

According to a press release: "The two have remained friends following Alice's release and Kim was thrilled to feature Alice as one of 26 real women in the new SKIMS campaign."

In the video, Johnson calls Kardashian her 'war angel' for fighting to have her sentence commuted.

The SKIMS line will be available on Tuesday, September 10th in sizes XXS - 5XL.
