Breaking Bad is heading back to the screen with a movie focused on Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).
On Sunday, Netflix announced it will release the film in October, showing the meth cook's life after the series ended.
Called El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, it's been written and directed by the Breaking Bad creator himself, Vince Gilligan.
A brief plot summary from Netflix states: "In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future."
A report on /Film at the end of last year said the website had learned the film will be "a sequel set after the events of the series finale, following Jesse as he blazes a trail away from that horrifying [final episode]".
Paul says he's excited to take up his role as Pinkman again.
"It's a chapter of Breaking Bad that I didn't realise that I wanted," Paul said in an interview with the New York Times. "And now that I have it, I'm so happy that it's there."
It's not clear if El Camino will reunite Paul with any of his Breaking Bad costars like Krysten Ritter, Jonathan Banks or Bryan Cranston, however Cranston - who played Walter White - has said he would "absolutely" appear in the movie if asked by Gilligan.
"It's a great story, and there's a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to these storylines that were left open," Cranston said during an interview on US radio's the Dan Patrick Show in 2018.
"This idea, from what I'm told, gets into those... at least a couple of the characters who were not completed, as far as their journey."
