Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hire third nanny for baby Archie

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have hired their third nanny in just three months to lend a hand with their son Archie.

British tabloid The Sun reports the new hire was spotted helping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on both of their recent holidays, where they travelled via private jet.

The latest addition to the royal entourage is not a live-in nanny, but will reportedly accompany the pair on their tour of Africa.

According to The Sun, a source called Meghan a "very hands-on mum", but said the new nanny had been a "godsend".

"She is extremely professional, with a number of nannying years under her belt, and has fitted into the family really well," the unnamed source is quoted as saying.

"She's great with little Archie and just adores him. Harry and Meghan are very happy with her."

Meghan and Harry haven't always had such good luck with the hired help, however. The Duke and Duchess reportedly sacked their first nanny for being "unprofessional", while the second nanny only works nights.

The new parents came under fire this week for choosing private air travel for two recent family holidays.

Elton John, Ellen DeGeneres and Pink are among those who came to the defence of the couple, imploring critics to recognise Harry and Meghan's environmental work.
