It's reportedly unclear who was the target of the shooting.

The Cadillac Escalade that was apparently riddled with bulletholes from the attack is owned by Tee Grizley and the ClickOnDetroit report quotes police as saying the shooting took place on 3 Mile Drive in Detroit at around 9pm Tuesday night (local time).

On Instagram, Lil Yachty posted a photo of himself with Tee Grizzley, captioning the pic: "Praying for my bro. One of my real friends. In my thoughts, till I hear from you. Love you broski."

Tee Grizley was born in Detroit and his debut studio album - 2018's Activated - features collaborations with Chris Brown, Lil Yachty and Lil Pump.

The album peaked at number 10 on the US's Billboard 200 chart, with positive reviews from the likes of Pitchfork, Spin and Hip-Hop DX.
