50 Cent declares Chris Brown 'better than Michael Jackson'

Hip hop star 50 Cent has crowned Chris Brown the new King of Pop, consigning Michael Jackson to the dustbin.

In posts on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, the 'In Da Club' hitmaker reportedly said "CB better then MJ to me now, [sic]" including a screenshot showing Brown is now the seventh-biggest selling singles artist in the US of all-time.

"I can't believe mike wanted to touch the little boys booty," 50 Cent wrote. "What the f**k man."

Jackson has been accused by two men of molesting them when they were children. Their claims were detailed in recent HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, which has been rubbished by the singer's estate. Before his death in 2009, Jackson always denied molesting children - and was found not guilty at a trial a few years earlier.

Brown's crimes on the other hand are well-documented, most notably his brutal assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, also one the biggest-selling artists in US history.

50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - deleted both posts after backlash from fans.

Brown has had two number one hits in the US, and 15 top 10s. Jackson had 13 number ones and 30 top 10s in his career.
