Two of Britain's biggest pop acts have been announced to headline St Jermone's Laneway Festival in Auckland next year.

Manchester rockers The 1975 will take the stage at Auckland's Albert Park in 2020, as well as pop star Charli XCX.
Other acts featuring at the one-day event taking place on Auckland Anniversary Day include Sydney dance music trio Rüfüs Du Sol and US rapper Earl Sweatshirt.
Making up the Kiwi contingency will be local acts Benee, Soaked Oats, Eleven7four and Mermaidens.

It will be the festival's 10th year in Auckland, having started in Melbourne in 2005 and eventually expanding across the ditch in 2010.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, September 26.
