Fat Freddy's Drop announce Summer Record Tour 2020

Iconic Kiwi seven-piece band Fat Freddy's Drop has announced their annual Summer Record Tour 2020.

The Wellington-based group will be joined by some of New Zealand's finest musical talents, as well as international DJs David 'Ram Ram' Rodigan, Dub FX and Jazzy Jeff - best known for his '80s and '90s collaboration with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Will Smith. 

No two shows will be the same with their curated local lineups. Special guests include eclectic four-piece L.A.B, Auckland hip-hop artist JessB, neo-soul songstress Bailey Wiley, Taite Prize winner Tom Scott's Avantdale Bowling Club as well as Tunes of I, Chaii and Silva MC.

The Summer Record Tour will feature 10 shows nationwide, including Thames, Keri Keri, Mangawhai, Tauranga, Auckland, Wellington, Havelock North, Christchurch and Queenstown.

 

Since their formation in 1999, Fat Freddy's Drop have taken their reggae, soul, dub, jazz and R&B fusion on a worldwide trip. 

Their intensive touring and improvised style of performance has secured the genre-bending septet a global fanbase, captivated by their unique brand of Aotearoa roots music.
