The trio's return to the film franchise was revealed by director Colin Trevorrow at a screening of the original 1993 movie in Los Angeles this week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Entertainment website Collider's editor Steven Weintraub tweeted that the surprise announcement sent the audience into a frenzy.
"This was a HUGE surprise tonight," he tweeted, alongside a video of the moment.
"A fan asked Colin Trevorrow if any of the original cast was coming back in JW3 and he was like 'yes' and then introduced Laura Dern to the shocked audience."
Neill last played the iconic palaeontologist in 2001's Jurassic Park III, alongside Dern as Dr Ellie Sattler. Goldblum has already reprised his role as Dr Ian Malcolm in 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Jurassic World 3 is set to hit cinemas in June 2021.
