'I'll bloody miss them': Sharyn Casey responds to Jono and Ben leaving The Edge

Sharyn Casey has responded to the news her radio co-hosts Jono and Ben will be leaving The Edge Afternoons show next year.

The broadcaster uploaded a photo of the trio from this year's radio awards, where their show won the award for best network non-breakfast team.

"Me ol' mates are finishing at @theedgenz at the end of the year and I'll bloody miss them," Sharyn captioned the snap.

"We've had a blast, we've won awards, set world records, had some really bizzare yarns and they're two of my closest mates who I have A LOT of respect for."

News of Jono and Ben's departure from The Edge was announced on Wednesday when it was also confirmed Sharyn would stay on as a host alongside a new team in 2020.

"I've had weeks to wrap my head around it and I am really excited about building a new show on a station I have lived and breathed since I was 13 years old," Sharyn's post continued.

"So the big question is, who do you want in your earholes with me every arvo?"

The Dancing With The Stars host asked her 66,000 followers to get in touch with their ideas.

"I always want @edgeafternoons to be the people's show so chuck me ya ideas and let's build this show together," she concluded.

Jono and Ben will take up their new roles at Radio Hauraki in April next year.
