Eminem endorses Chris Brown's beating of Rihanna in leaked audio

Eminem said he "sides with" Chris Brown in leaked audio from an unreleased track recorded shortly after Brown's 2009 assault of Rihanna.

According to Insider, the audio was uploaded to Reddit, titled '(SNIPPET) Eminem - Things Get Worse (Rihanna Diss)'.

In the clip, Eminem can be heard rapping: "Of course I side with Chris Brown, I'd beat a bitch down too".

The track was reportedly recorded as part of Eminem's album Relapse, but instead went on to become B.o.B's 'Things Get Worse' in 2011.

While the official track did not include the line about Rihanna, Eminem does rap about putting Natasha Beddingfield "in a washer" and "murdering" Dakota Fanning.

Brown savagely attacked Rihanna while the then-couple were on their way to the 2009 Grammys. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault with the intent of doing great bodily injury, for which he was sentenced to five years of probation.

Meanwhile, Eminem and Rihanna went on to work together on several occasions, collaborating on the track Love The Way You Lie - a song about an abusive relationship - only a year after the incident.

The pair made two more tracks together - 'Numb' and 'The Monster' - in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

More recently, Eminem continues to reference Rihanna in his music. In his 2018 Machine Gun Kelly diss track 'Kill Shot', he raps: "Rihanna just hit me on a text/ Last night I left hickeys on her neck".

Rihanna has not responded publicly to the audio.
