Justin Timberlake is reportedly "feeling guilty" after being snapped holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright.
Paparazzi photos published by UK tabloid The Sun appeared to show the 'SexyBack' singer and Wainwright getting up close and personal, including her resting her hand on his thigh.
Now E! News is reporting Timberlake admits he "had too much to drink and got carried away", according to a source that claims to know the celebrity power couple.
"They are downplaying everything and trying to laugh it off as nothing. But it was definitely inappropriate and something that would make any wife uncomfortable," said the source.
"Their marriage will survive. He feels guilty and will make it up to her," they continued.
"She is very good to him and he knows how lucky he is. He says it was not a big deal, they were all hanging out together and that's the end of the story."
E! News reports that other sources highlighted the fact that Timberlake and Wainwright were on location for the movie they're filming together.
"They were out with all the cast, crew, makeup artists and everyone was just hanging out in a social setting," one source reportedly told E!
"They are just working together. No validity to any other rumour other than that they are filming together."
Neither Biel, Timberlake nor Wainwright have publicly addressed the scandal.
