Kanye West calls out a room of fashion designers for 'talking bad' about Kim Kardashian

Kanye West has once again used an awards show as a platform for his own agenda, this time targeting fashion designers who have spoken ill of his wife Kim Kardashian.

Kim and Kanye, sometimes referred to as 'Kimye', were presenting The Fashion Innovator award to Riccardo Tisci at the WSJ Magazine 2019 Innovator Awards show when Kanye got fired up.

"He'd come to my fashion shows when everyone would diss my fashion shows and just be an amazing friend," Kanye said of Tisci, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer.

"I remember (French fashion editor) Carine [Roitfeld] and Riccardo locking arms and just saying: 'No one's going to talk bad about Kim and we're going to dress her'."

Having clearly touched on a sore point, Kanye decided it was time to give the audience "that ye", and make mention of those he felt had wronged his wife.

"Because there are people in this room who have talked..." he added.

"I got to give you that ye. Some people in this room have talked, you know."

A tense-looking Kim smiled awkwardly as her husband opted to steer the speech back to Tisci and his achievements.

"Just to have those friends who really are there for you when they're the only ones who have the vision and the only ones who believe in you," he concluded.

"Riccardo had that vision very early on."

Kanye has caused several stirs in recent weeks with his controversial views on abortion and a sad-looking 'Brunchella' meal offering at one of his events.
