Rock band Tool have confirmed their 2020 return to New Zealand, announcing a February 28 concert at Auckland's Spark Arena.
The 'Stinkfist' hitmakers are heading to Aotearoa following their Australian gigs on the Fear Inoculum tour, described by promoters as an "immersive live visual experience" that's "multi-sensory and groundbreaking."
Tool are currently in the midst of a 26-date US tour - the following is a sample setlist:
- 'Fear Inoculum'
- 'The Pot'
- 'Schism' (extended version)
- 'Part of Me'
- 'Forty Six & 2'
- 'Chocolate Chip Trip'
- 'Ions' (pre-recorded audio not performed live)
Tool have previously performed in New Zealand 10 times - the first in 1997 and the last in 2013.
In August, the band released Fear Inoculum - their fifth album and first in 13 years.
Shortly before the album's release, their back catalogue was released on streaming services for the first time ever.
Tickets to Tool's Auckland concert go on sale to the general public on November 22.
