Jason Momoa shames Chris Pratt's plastic bottle, fans find hypocritical photo

Jason Momoa has apologised to fellow actor Chris Pratt after calling out the use of a plastic water bottle in the Jurassic World actor's photoshoot.

Momoa commented on an Instagram photo of Pratt's latest advertisement with Amazon, in which he's holding the single-use bottle while working out.

"Bro I love you but WTF on the water bottle. No single-use plastic. Come on," Momoa wrote.

While many fans joined Momoa in pointing out the issues with the ad, some felt a public shaming between friends was too much.

It wasn't long before a photo of Momoa sipping from a plastic bottle emerged, which some saw as "hypocrisy".

For his part, Pratt responded by telling the Aquaman star he was "completely right".

"Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!!" Pratt wrote.

"If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photo shoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands!

"Love you too buddy. My bad. I don't want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle."

In turn, Momoa posted a photo of the two Hollywood heavyweights posing with Momoa's two children, apologising for the way things had gone down.

"Bro you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I'm sorry this was received so badly today and I didn't mean for that to happen.

"I'm just very passionate about this single-use plastic epidemic. You're an inspiration to many, I'm one of them."
