George FM host Kara Rickard bought her stomach to work to celebrate eight years without cancer.

She told fellow radio Presenter General Lee, on Friday, eight years ago, she had surgery to remove her stomach.

"I remember being wheeled into the operating room, crying, wondering if I was ever going to see my family again if I was gonna survive, if I was ever going to see my daughter again who was only three months old."

In the video, Rickard takes out her preserved stomach from a sealed bag.

"Oh wow, holy jeez man, that is Kara Rickard's stomach," Lee is heard saying.

"That, is my actual stomach," Rickard says as she holds up and points at the yellow organ.

Rickard said the operation took seven hours and she got collapsed lungs.

"It was really full-on, but I am really grateful that but today on the anniversary of something that profoundly changed my life, I want to send love to all the survivors.

"All that are battling this illness and all those who have lost loved ones."

She told Lee she is glad she made it out the other side.

"I count my blessings every single day, and I am beyond grateful I am still here."
