An Auckland gamer has travelled to South Korea to represent New Zealand as an 'E Black' at the International Esports Federation World Championships.
Daniel Cossington, who plays the fighting game Tekken 7 as 'Wowzer', was flown to Korea by the NZ Esports Federation. The total prize pool at the Championship is nearly $40,000.
Cossington said he felt "extremely honoured" to be chosen as an E Black and is "super excited to show what Kiwi Tekken has to offer in Seoul."
He was selected after strong performances at other gaming tournaments in America and Australia.
