Married At First Sight NZ's Ksenia Smorodinova announces surprise pregnancy

The Russian-born reality TV personality shared a photo of her cradling her bump with the cryptic caption: "#notlongtogo".

Ksenia was matched with Wayne McIntosh on season two of MAFS NZ, but their marriage was short-lived. Since then, she's kept her personal life relatively under wraps on social media.

In November last year, Ksenia posted a meme to her public figure Facebook page which joked about the poor quality of the "fish in the sea" when someone is single.

However, Ksenia told Newshub that she is in fact happily partnered-up, with a mystery man who wishes to remain out of the spotlight.

"I met him when I was 18 in a club, 16 years ago," she explained.

"Being quite young, it ended on that. 16 years later we reconnected again through a mutual friend and have been very much in love ever since."

The couple is expecting their first child in February - it's a girl.

"We are both very excited and looking forward to it."

Earlier this week, Ksenia's fellow MAFS participant Yuki Sato announced she and her TV husband, Dan McLaughlan, had split up.

Dan and Yuki were the golden couple from season two - the only pairing that lasted a substantial length of time after filming wrapped.

In a candid YouTube video, Yuki said she had come home one day to find Dan had packed his things and left. The couple celebrated their one year anniversary in October 2019.
