Pink writes 'letter to self' on Twitter promising to never get plastic surgery

Pink has written a 'note to self' on social media in order to remind herself never to get plastic surgery as she grapples with the aging process.

The 'So What?' singer shared her thoughts about cosmetic procedures with her 32.2 million followers, saying she "couldn't get behind it".

"Dear Me, you're getting older," the 40-year-old began her Twitter thread.

"I see lines. Especially when you smile. Your nose is getting bigger...You look (and feel) weird as you get used to this new reality.

"But your nose looks like your kids, and your face wrinkles where you laugh. And yeah you idiot...you smoked."

Pink confessed she has felt tempted to get some work done from time to time, but always came back to the same conclusion.

"Every once in a while you consider altering your face, and then you watch a show where you want to see what the person is feeling... and their face doesn't move. I cannot get behind it. I just can't."

The Grammy winner said it was important that her children knew what she looked like when she was angry.

"I'm fortunate because I've never really depended on my looks," she added.

"I've decided that my talent and my individuality is far more important than my face," Pink concluded.

"So get on board cause I am about to AGE THE OL FASHIONED WAY (in a tutu ruling shit at 30 mph 100 ft in the air over 40) yasssssssss."

Her sentiments were echoed by fellow popstar Kelly Clarkson who replied, "I feel you," but said she wouldn't be flying through the air any time soon.

Previously, Pink lashed out at a troll on Twitter who wrote: "Pink looks so old she should be named Purple instead".

"I've earned every f**king minute of my 38 years," she replied in 2018. "How you lookin', though? Cause I never heard of ya til you put my name in your mouth."
