Justin Bieber's wife Hailey has criticised Twitter trolls saying "it hurts to be torn apart on the internet".

Hailey made the statement after claiming she had been constantly targeted by internet trolls.

"Instagram, Twitter is SUCH a breeding ground for cruelty towards each other.

"I could sit here all day and say the hate doesn’t bug me, that the words that are said don’t affect me. But NEWS FLASH: it hurts to be torn apart on the internet," she posted.

Hailey Bieber, formally known as Hailey Baldwin, married pop sensation Justin Bieber in 2018.

Her outburst follows being targeted with criticism by fans of Selena Gomez, who dated Bieber from 2010 to 2018.

Both singers have recently released music. Gomez's song 'Lose you to love me' was released in late 2019 and appears to be about the end of her relationship with Bieber.

Bieber has also announced a new album which will be released in 2020, five years after his previous album 'Purpose'.

His new song titled 'Yummy' contains lyrics about his "lady", presumably Baldwin.
