Canadian singer Alanis Morissette will be paying a visit to Aotearoa on her world tour this year, it has been announced.

The 90's pop-rock sensation will play one night at Auckland's Spark Arena on April 21.

The tour celebrates Morissette's iconic 1995 album, Jagged Little Pill, which sky-rocketed her success and went on to become one of the best selling albums ever.

It's been 25 years since the singer-songwriter's third studio album was released, featuring beloved tracks such as 'You Oughta Know', 'Ironic', and 'Hand in my Pocket'.

Morissette went on to release nine more albums, as well as dabbling in musical theatre, podcasting and acting for film and television.

Late last year, Jagged Little Pill the musical hit Broadway, with a plotline inspired by the emotive themes of the album - pain, healing and empowerment.

Tickets go on sale at 12pm on Friday, February 21.
