Justin Bieber has revealed the severity of his drug use in an episode of his YouTube documentary, entitled Justin Bieber: Seasons.

The pop star admitted he began using drugs as early as 13-years-old, when he dabbled with marijuana. It wasn't long before he graduated to harder drugs such as ecstasy, magic mushrooms and a codeine cocktail.

"People don't know how serious it got. It was legit crazy scary," said Bieber.

"I was waking up in the morning and the first thing I was doing was popping pills and smoking a blunt and starting my day. It just got scary."

Bieber said he now sleeps in a hyperbaric chamber and gets intravenous infusions to help with his recovery, having only given up drugs when he felt his life was in danger.

"I decided to stop because I was, like, dying. My security and stuff would come into my room at night to check my pulse," he said.

Beiber's wife, Hayley, who he married in a courthouse ceremony in 2018, said she chose not to get involved with the Canadian hitmaker until he was sober.
