Laura Daniel returns to Dancing With The Stars NZ as judge

Comedian Laura Daniel will return to Dancing With The Stars NZ this year - but this time, she'll be kicking her dancing shoes off under the judges table.

The former Funny Girls and Jono and Ben star was last year's runner-up, along with her ballroom partner Shae Mountain.

"I made no secret that I absolutely love this show and what it brings out in people," Daniel said in a statement.

"It's a real honour to be involved in another season of sequins and spray tans but this time without having to put myself through the same intense physical torture."

Daniel will be joining judges Julz Tocker and Camilla Sacre-Dallerup, who will be jetting back to New Zealand from overseas for their third year on the panel.

"I'm looking forward to supporting this year's stars through their journeys and giving them constructive feedback as they face their biggest challenge... trying not to smooch their hot pro dancer," Daniel added.

Dancing With The Stars NZ will return to Three later this year, and will one again be hosted by Sharyn Casey and Dai Henwood.
