Convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus, according to multiple reports.

The former movie mogul is in isolation at Wende Correctional Facility in the state of New York, reports TMZ and the Niagara Gazette.

Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexually assaulting one woman and raping another earlier this month, although the 68-year-old was accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of other women.

The Niagara Gazette report has been cited by both The Sun and Daily Beast, among other media outlets.

It quotes prison officials as saying Weinstein and one other inmate have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

"Officials familiar with his situation said it is believed Weinstein was positive for the virus when he entered the state prison system last Wednesday (local time) from Rikers Island, a New York City jail," reports Joe Mahoney in the newspaper.

Weinstein's representatives reportedly said they have not been informed of his diagnosis.
