Watch: Rapper DaBaby slaps female fan at concert, gets booed offstage

American rapper DaBaby  has been caught on camera slapping a woman who was filming him as he made his way to the stage at a Florida concert on Saturday night (local time).

The Grammy-nominated artist didn't take kindly to the proximity of the female fan's phone camera to his face, turning and violenting hitting the woman in the face in a video captured by a fellow fan.

TMZ reports the crowd booed the rapper relentlessly, to the point where he and his entourage left without performing a single song.

The celebrity gossip website adds that police later arrived on the scene, but DaBaby had already left the venue. The woman was reportedly given a form to submit if she wished to press charges.

The incident took place at a Tampa bar where the 28-year-old rapper was performing his Up Close N Personal tour.

DaBaby later took to Instagram to allege that the woman hit him in the eye with her phone, asking fans for another angle of the moment. He's since apologised for his actions, claiming he didn't know it was a woman behind the phone, but that fans should learn to "zoom in" instead of holding the phone and flash light so close.

It's not the first time the 'Suge' hitmaker has gotten into trouble.

He was arrested in January and charged with assaulting a music promoter in Miami. When he was being processed for that incident, it was noticed he had an outstanding arrest warrant in Texas for a different assault.

DaBaby has previously been seen on video shoving a hotel worker into a chair while disturbing footage showed his security guard savagely beating a man who had apparently asked for a photo with the rapper.
