Tiger King fans rejoice: New episode of Netflix's hit show coming 'next week', says Jeff Lowe

An extra bonus episode of Netflix's wildly popular docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness will be released on the streaming service "next week", according to one of its stars.

Jeff Lowe, the former business partner of the show's main subject Joe Exotic, announced the news in a video sent to US baseball player Justin Turner, who happens to be a big fan of the show.

Lowe sent the clip to the Los Angeles Dodgers player after he and his wife Kourtney mentioned Tiger King on the 'Holding Kourt' podcast.

"Hey Kourtney and Justin, this is Jeff and Lauren from the Tiger King show on Netflix. Thanks for watching our show," Lowe said in the video, accompanied by his partner.

"Netflix is adding one more episode. It will be on next week. We’re filming here tomorrow.

"Stay safe, and put your mask on."

Netflix does not appear to have officially confirmed the news, and some fans have questioned its reliability, given the source.

"'Says Jeff Lowe,' have we learned nothing about believing that guy?" one Twitter user asked.

Still, that hasn't stopped viewers across the world from going into a frenzy over the news, eager for another installment to watch while self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.

"The only thing in life I have to look forward to at the moment," one Twitter user wrote.

"Entire week made," said another.
