Pop star Doja Cat has revealed she tested positive for COVID-19 after mocking the virus as just "a flu" and calling anyone who was scared of it "a p***y".

"I'm gonna get corona and then I'm gonna get a Corona, cause I don't give a f**k about corona, bitch," the 'Say So' singer proclaimed in an Instagram Live video in March.

"It's a flu! Ya'll are p***ies... You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep. That's all you gotta do," she said at the time.

"Y'all are so scared of some damn corona that I need a Corona."

Now, in an interview with Capital Xtra radio, the chart-topping rapper has revealed she contracted the virus and had a "four-day symptom freak out" before recovering.

"I got COVID," she said. "Honestly, I don't know how this happens but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and... I don't know how I got it but I got it," she said.

Doja Cat said she was "fine now" and didn't appear to address her previous remarks on the deadly disease.

The COVID-19 pandemic has now killed more than 650,000 people internationally with more than 16 million cases recorded.
