Elon Musk challenges Johnny Depp to a cage fight amid Amber Heard affair rumours

Elon Musk has said he'd happily take on Johnny Depp in a cage fight in response to a threatening text written by the actor that was recently read out in court.

The Telsa founder vehemently denied having an affair with Amber Heard while she was married to Depp, advising the pair they should "bury the hatchet" in an interview with the New York Times.

Musk and Heard's relationship has become a central part of the high-profile libel case currently underway in London's High Court, in which Heard is testifying that British tabloid The Sun was correct to refer to Depp as a "wife beater".

Depp's alleged that jealously over Heard and Musk's connection was said to play a role in the downfall of their relationship. One one occasion, Depp allegedly threatened to slice off Musk's genitals in a text written to Heard.

When asked about the violent remark, Musk told the New York Times: "If Johnny wants a cage fight, just let me know."

Musk also denied rumours of a threesome with Heard and model Cara Delavigne, adding: "I think people think these things are generally more salacious than they are."

Meanwhile, the SpaceX CEO found him himself in trouble with his partner Grimes when he tweeted: "Pronouns suck" - an apparent jab at the way transgender and non-binary people identify.

"I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a dall [sic]," Grimes replied on Twitter.

"I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn't your heart."

Grimes and Musk announced the birth of their first child, X AE A-XII, earlier this year.
