John Wick fans will be thrilled to know the unkillable killing machine will be killing bad guys in a fifth outing, the studio has confirmed.

Considering he killed a whopping total of 299 people onscreen in the first three movies, by the fifth he may have the highest body count of anyone in movie history.

Lionsgate announced this week that John Wick 5 will be filmed back to back with John Wick 4 in early 2021, according to an earnings call first reported on by Deadline.

The Keanu Reeves action franchise by stunt-expert-turned-filmmaker Chad Stahelski has developed a devout cult following and impressive box office numbers since the original 2014 film.

"We're also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022 [May 28]," said Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer.

"We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year."

Reeves is currently filming The Matrix 4 while another film he's signed onto, Rally Car, is in pre-production.

A John Wick TV show is also in the works. Entitled The Continental, it's set to premiere after the fourth film.
