Simon Cowell has undergone surgery after breaking his back falling off his new electric bike.
The 60-year-old music mogul was riding the bike in the courtyard of his Los Angeles home when the accident occurred.
His spokesperson told BBC News Cowell entered surgery on Saturday evening (local time).
"He's under observation and in the best possible hands," she said.
It's reported Cowell was testing out the bike when the fall occurred.
British broadcaster Piers Morgan wished Cowell a "full and speedy" recovery, saying it sounded like a "nasty accident".
