Alien Weaponry announce nationwide Level One Tour in November 2020

Kiwi thrash metal outfit Alien Weaponry have announced a six-date tour around Aotearoa set to kick off in November.

The Level One Tour will see the Waipu trio play shows in Tauranga, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin and Wellington before finishing up in Auckland at The Powerstation - their first time headlining at the iconic venue.

The announcement comes off the back of the band's freshly-inked management deal with RSE Group, which represents metal music legends including Slayer, Mastodon, Ghost and Gojira.

Alien Weaponry are famous for their use of te reo Māori in songs that celebrate their whakapapa and ancestry, and tackle the issues of colonisation.

A special Māori language version of their Town Hall gig that took place in February this year was recently released for Te Wiki O Te Reo Māori (Māori Language Week) 2020.

The band promises fans will be the first in the world to hear their new music on their upcoming tour, as well as songs from their award-winning 2018 debut album

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, October 1.

Alien Weaponry's Level One Tour dates are as follows:

  • November 27 - Ngaio Marsh Theatre in Christchurch
  • November 28 - Starters Bar in Dunedin
