Bobby Brown Jr, son of singer Bobby Brown, has reportedly been found dead at the age of 28.

According to TMZ, he was discovered at his home in the LA area where police are still on the scene.

A source is quoted by the celebrity gossip website saying the authorities do not suspect foul play.

Bobby Jr's death is the latest in a series of tragedies in the family. His half-sister, Bobbi Kristina, died at the age of 22 years old in 2015. She drowned in the bathtub and was found to have toxic levels of cocaine and alcohol in her system - a fate eerily similar to that of her mother, Whitney Houston, who died three years earlier.

Bobby Jr was one of seven children belonging to his father. His mother is Kim Ward, who was in an on-and-off relationship with Bobby Brown for over a decade before he met and married Whitney Houston.

Bobby Jr appeared to be following in the musical footsteps of his father, having recently shared a teaser for a song called 'Say Something' on Instagram.

The comments section of Bobby Jr's latest post has already started to fill up with heartbroken, confused and concerned messages, including one from fellow musician Elvis Brown, who wrote: "Bro, tell me this ain't real man", along with a praying hands emoji.
