'For you crybabies': Cardi B bites back at criticism over her Billboard Woman of the Year win

Cardi B has responded to backlash after it was announced she would be crowned Billboard's Woman of the Year, explaining why she's deserving of the award in an Instagram video aimed at "crybabies".

The 'WAP' rapper bit back at criticism over the impending win, which some social media users called "laughable", while others brought up her past admission she had "drugged and robbed men" during her time as a stripper.

"For you crybabies that's like 'what? she only got one song' - yeah I got that song, bitch," Cardi B said in the clip.

"You know? The one that sold the most, the one that streamed the most. The one that had Republicans on Fox News crying about it. The one that's about to be six times platinum in three months.

"The one that had your grandma popping her p***y on TikTok. Yeah, bitch, that one."

The 28-year-old also made mention of the political discourse she had entered into on her social media channels, insisting she had been informing and influencing her 78.1 million followers to vote.

"Not just when Biden was going up against Trump," she said.

"I've been informing y'all about your senators, I've been informing y'all about districts and midterm elections. Using my money, my own money, to meet up with these candidates like Bernie [Sanders]. Flying out, tired after shows. Yeah, that was me, bitch."

Cardi B concluded with the promise that she "won't ever change", telling her haters: "Eat it up, I'm just that bitch."
