A brand new music festival will take over Western Springs' Outer Fields in March next year with an all-local line up featuring acts like Benee, Fat Freddy's Drop, The Beths and more.
The all day, all ages gig dubbed Outerfields gets its name from the outdoor venue that has previously hosted Big Day Out and Auckland City Limits, and will take place on March 6, 2021.
The genre-spanning line-up also features Aldous Harding, Ladyhawke, Montell2099, Church & AP, Paige and Harper Finn, with further acts to be announced.
Benee will add Outerfields to her already long list of headline spots on the festival circuit this summer, including appearances at Rhythm and Alps, Rhythm and Vines, Downtown Shakedown, Electric Avenue and the Bay of Islands Music Festival.
Outerfields is being presented by MusicHelps, a local charity which provides financial support to Kiwi music industry professionals experiencing hardship or illness, and funds entities that use music to help New Zealanders in need.
Tickets go on sale on Monday November 16.
