Peggy Gou has been called out for alleged "narcissistic" and "abusive" behaviour in an eye-opening social media post.

The Berlin-based South Korean DJ rose to fame in 2016 after her first EP, Art of War. She became the first Korean DJ to play in Berlin's nightclub Berghain.

On Tuesday, Gou's former neighbour Daniel Wang revealed his grievances towards the well-known artist.

"I've been traumatised by knowing this awful human being," he wrote on Facebook. "She was my neighbour, and she moved out 3 months ago.

"Some parts of the world think she is a talented, attractive, fashionable DJ."

"Some parts of the world think she is a talented, attractive, fashionable DJ. This is the biggest, saddest marketing spam ever.

"Lots of us in Berlin know the truth, but no one had the guts (or authority) to speak up. They're afraid people will call them a racist, a sexist, bitter or jealous."

The fellow DJ/ producer labelled Gou as "crude, tacky, greedy, narcissistic, abusive and troubling" using examples from several encounters.

"See, EVERYONE in Berlin knew that we were neighbours, so they told me everything about every encounter with her."

Wang later added screenshots of other people who alleged they had witnessed the same abuse coming from her.

"Met her at Tegal this year and watched her verbally abuse her assistant, treating this girl worse than any dog. 'Get this, get that, pick up this napkin' - yelling!!!!" one person commented.

"As a hospitality worker in Bali, I've had to deal with her a few times. One time, after hours of trying to contact her she arrived at her reservation six hours late.

"Once she was told her space had been given to a guest who was on time she threw her sandals at me and stormed off to the beach - so rude!" another commented.

The popular DJ responded to the post on Wednesday via an Instagram video message.

"For those who asked about the post, yes I've seen it," she told her 1.9 million followers.

"It surprised me he felt such hate because we used to be friends a long time ago - he could have called me.

"Sure, I can be difficult sometimes, I never said I'm perfect, but I'm not the type of person who has been described. And I will never regret standing up for myself.

"It is disappointing to see someone focusing so much energy on childish vendettas and false rumours, but I can't stop that, especially when there's so much more going on in the world right now.

"You should never let anyone bring YOU down," she added.
