'Where are my rights?': Millie Bobby Brown's tearful rant after being videoed without her consent

Millie Bobby Brown sobbed in her car after being videoed by a fan while out shopping, pleading with her Instagram followers to "show more respect" in a tearful video shared to social media

The Stranger Things star explained she was doing some Christmas shopping with her mother when she was approached by a girl who asked if she could take a video of her.

Brown said she declined, adding: "Why would anyone want to be taken a video of? At the end of the day I don't need to justify it to anyone."

Despite this, Brown - who is 16 years old - explained that the girl began videoing her while she was paying for her goods, prompting the actress to tell the young woman: "I'm a human being."

"It just makes me upset when people try and push the boundaries," Brown said through tears.

"I just wish people were more respectful," she continued, adding that she was still trying to "navigate" her fame, which could be overwhelming.

"I will take a picture with you, but when you push the boundary and you try and fight me on it, where are my rights to say no?" she said.

"I'm making this video to say you have to show more respect for others. No matter who they are, what they do, show respect, human being to human being. It's just manners."

In a follow-up message, Brown said she was "totally fine now", but that she felt "uncomfortable and disrespectful in the moment".

"It's important to set your boundaries and to speak up. I love you guys, Be kind to one another!" she concluded.
