JoJo Siwa has been praised for her response to a mother who told the Dance Moms star she wouldn't let her child watch her anymore, since the YouTuber came out as part of the LGBTQ community.

The dancer and social media personality had just one word for a comment that read "my daughter will never watch you again" under a video where Siwa was revelling in the outpouring of support she had received since coming out.

"Okay!" Siwa replied - a comeback that was hailed as "icon behaviour" on Twitter.

"Suddenly I'm purchasing Jojo Siwa merch, rewatching her seasons and downloading her discography," another Twitter user wrote alongside a screenshot of Siwa's reply.

"An unbothered queen. You love to see it," offered a third.

The reality television star first hinted she may have an announcement on the way by lip-synching to Lady Gaga's LGBTQ anthem 'Born This Way' last week, before sharing a snap wearing a T-shirt that read "Best. Gay. Cousin. Ever" on Instagram.

In an Instagram Live video addressing her fans, Siwa said she was "the happiest she's ever been" since coming out.

"Now that the world gets to see this side of my life, it makes me really happy," she said.
