Pregnant Bindi Irwin perfectly recreates her parents' maternity photo

Bindi Irwin's latest pregnancy photo is a near-perfect recreation of a maternity snap taken of her mother and late father, Terri and Steve Irwin.

Bindi posed at Australia Zoo with her husband Chandler Powell kissing her baby bump and shared it alongside an uncannily similar image of her parents taken nearly two decades earlier.

In the original photo, a young Bindi and her dad, the beloved Crocodile Hunter, plant kisses on the stomach of Terri, who was pregnant with her second child Robert at the time.

"Recreating a very special moment. Third trimester love," Bindi captioned the image, which quickly prompted an emotional response from fans on social media.

"I can't stop crying!!! Steve would be so thrilled," one Twitter user wrote.

"Well I was already on the edge but now I'm absolutely sobbing," said another.

"This made my eyes well up. Your parents made two beautiful human beings and to see [Steve's] legacies still being carried out is amazing. Keep spreading love and understanding for all creatures. Your family is a treasure," a third commented.

Bindi and Chandler announced they were expecting their 'Baby Wildlife Warrior' in August last year, telling fans: "It's an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you".
