Megan Fox reveals she quit alcohol after 'belligerent' 2009 Golden Globes interview

Megan Fox revealed she gave up drinking after a now-infamous interview she gave on the red carpet at the 2009 Golden Globes.

The Transformers star was reminiscing about her best and worst fashion looks for Who What Wear when she recalled becoming "belligerent" and "saying a bunch of shit she shouldn't have said" at the awards ceremony.

"I was seated with Blake Lively and three Jonas brothers," she said, adding that she went through "multiple glasses" of Moet from the giant bottles on the table.

"Now I don't drink, and this is why," she said.

"I was belligerent and said a bunch of shit I shouldn't have said on the red carpet after that. I'm sure I got in a lot of trouble for what I said... I don’t remember why but I know that I did."

In resurfaced footage from the 66th Golden Globes, Fox uses an outdated term for a transgender person to describe herself, telling E! News' Guiliana Rancic: "I'm pretty sure I'm a doppelganger for Alan Alda. I'm a tr**ny. I'm a man."

"I'm so painfully insecure. I'm on the verge of vomiting right now. I'm so horrified that I'm here."

Fox also joked about "starving herself for a month" to get her "22-inch waist", as well as taking a swipe at her then-boyfriend Brian Austin Green, who she said "didn't want to be her date" because he "didn't care".

"He's a man. He has an ego," she said. When asked if he would be watching from home, Fox replied: "I think he's probably working on music, I don't think he cares."

The then-23-year-old also said she "wanted Salma Hayek's boobs", adding "those are the most amazing boobs, they're perfect".
