Meghan Markle's dad Thomas slammed online after telling daughter to 'grow up' in scathing new interview

Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle has come under fire again after yet another scathing television interview against his daughter.

Speaking with Good Morning Britain, Thomas hit out at the Duchess of Sussex, who he has been estranged from for several years, telling her to "grow up" and insisting "everything" she and Prince Harry were doing was "for money".

"Harry's coming out with a book, and that can't be anything but cruel and to insult his grandmother, the Queen. It's a ridiculous idea, and it's just something for money. That's all they're doing. Everything they're doing is for money," he said.

The 77-year-old recycled many of his old lines about Meghan "disowning both sides of her family", insisting she "was never that way" before meeting Prince Harry, who made her "change".

However he also included new revelations, claiming Meghan gave him an ultimatum to stop speaking to his other children.

"There are some reasons that she got upset with me and one was that she thought I was giving too much attention to her brother and sister - to her stepbrother and stepsister - but nonetheless she wanted me to stop talking to them and I couldn't," he said.

Amid the character assasination, Thomas made it clear he still wanted to see Meghan again, and more importantly, meet his grandchildren.

"We're at a point where, I think, both of us, we should grow up, talk, make up for the sake of the children right now and for ourselves. This is ridiculous, it's been going on for almost four years - it's crazy," he said.

Thomas said he had attempted to get back in touch with his daughter as recently as a month ago, but couldn't go to Montecino where she and Harry live, for fear of being "pointed out as a stalker".

Online commentators were outraged by Thomas' latest interview, taking him to task for "attacking his child for profit and notoriety".

"Thomas Markle is being wheeled out again to attack Meghan and her brother is going on an Australian reality show to attack her," one tweet read, referring to her brother Thomas Markle Jr's appearance on Australia's Big Brother VIP

"I don't blame her for cutting off these weirdos out of her life."

"I don't understand Thomas Markle's motivation," another Twitter user wrote. "He says he wants to make up with his daughter, which I'm sure he does, but each time he does an interview he slates her and 'reveals' something new, then expects Meghan to let him back in. It hasn't worked thus far."

"Thomas Markle must be desperately broke…again," a third tweet read. "What a deadbeat dad attacking his child for profit and notoriety. Shameless. Take lessons from Doria please," they continued, referring to Meghan's mother, who has not spoken to the press.

"Meghan Markle is right to cut him off from her kids' lives. Good Morning Britain must be shamelessly desperate for ratings - he isn’t newsworthy."
