Robin Williams' daughter begs fans to stop 'spamming her' with viral impression video from actor Jamie Costa

Robin Williams' daughter Zelda Williams has made a plea to her Twitter followers to stop sending her footage from actor Jamie Costa's uncanny portrayal of her late father.

A clip shared by Costa on his YouTube page titled 'ROBIN screen test' went viral earlier this week, leaving viewers stunned by the actor's impression of the Mrs Doubtfire star.

In a tweet addressing the video, Zelda said Costa was "super talented", but begged people to refrain from "spamming" her with it.

"Guys, I'm only saying this because I don’t think it'll stop until I acknowledge it… please, stop sending me the 'test footage'. I've seen it. Jamie is SUPER talented, this isn't against him, but y'all spamming me an impression of my late Dad on one of his saddest days is weird," she wrote.

In the video, Costa appears as Robin on the set of Mork and Mindy in 1982, where he is devastated when he's told by his co-star that his good friend and fellow comedian John Belushi had died.

In response to what some fans called an "inconsiderate" decision to send Zelda the clip, many Twitter users flooded the comments section of the 32-year-old's posts with pictures of cute animals in a bid to cheer her up.

"BTW can I just add that I really dig this new trend of folks sending unsolicited pet pictures under otherwise somewhat bummer posts? It’s LOVELY, please always send me all the pictures of your furry (or scaly/spiky) dependents, please and thank you!" Zelda tweeted.

The actress and director went on to bite back at one Twitter user who called her "sick" for a previous tweet about going on PornHub, asking: "Do you think your dad would approve?"

"I mean, we can go consult a psychic if you like, but I can say with a fair amount of certainty that IF there’s an afterlife, my social media-hating Dad is not currently wasting it giving two shits about the dumb jokes I make on Twitter," she wrote.
