Britney Spears unleashed a tirade on her mother in a since-deleted Instagram post in which she claimed Lynn Spears was the real mastermind behind her controversial conservatorship.
The 'Toxic' singer captioned an image that read "the most dangerous animal in the world is a silent smiling woman" with a rant insisting her mum "secretly ruined her life".
"Psssss my dad may have started the conservatorship 13 years ago but what people don't know is that my mom is the one who gave him the idea !!!! I will never get those years back. She secretly ruined my life," Britney wrote.
"So take your whole 'I have NO IDEA what's going on' attitude and go f**k yourself! You know exactly what you did... my dad is not smart enough to think of a conservatorship but tonight I will smile knowing I have a new life ahead of me!"
The 39-year-old popstar began her message: "The moment I SMILE and I realise I haven't in a very long time!" before becoming cryptic about the state of her relationship with her mum.
"My mom gets so CONCERNED and says 'You're acting weird, what's wrong with you?' I say 'Hi, my name is Britney Spears... nice to finally meet you!'
"Before I go any further, forgive me in advance," she continued. "It's been 13 years and I'm a little rusty! It was a family business before, it's no longer that anymore!
"I was BORN today cause I get to SMILE, so thank you for exiting out of my life and finally allowing me to live mine! Psssss do I know how mean I sound? Yes, I 100 billion per cent [do]."
So far, much of Britney's public anger over her restrictive conservatorship has been directed at her father Jamie Spears, who was suspended from his role as conservator in September. During a messy legal battle, Britney said her father should be "jailed" for the "abuse" he inflicted on her during the time he was in charge of her personal, professional and financial affairs.
The singer has also taken swipes at her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and has broadly called out her family for "never showing up for her" in the past but "speaking righteously" in support of her now.
In a recent Instagram post, Britney also warned: "Lord have mercy on my family's souls if I ever do an interview!"
