Ed Sheeran made a listener of The Breeze radio station's day this week when he called her personally to tell her she'd won $10,000.
A woman called Jo was the lucky winner of the station's 'Ed Sheeran's $10k Phone Call' promotion, and was instantly brought to tears by the news, as evidenced in audio shared on social media.
"Hey Jo, it's Ed Sheeran, I'm just ringing you up to tell you you've won $10,000," the 'Shape of You' singer can be heard saying in the clip.
"Are you serious?" Jo replies.
"I'm very, very serious, I'm actually on the set of a music video and I've just popped out to ring you and yeah, you've won 10 grand!"
"I'm, I'm - yeah, oh my God, that is so amazing!" a stunned Jo responded, before bursting into tears.
"Oh my God, this has never ever happened to me before and it's going to make a big difference, thank you," she finished.
Fellow listeners of The Breeze shared their congratulations on the radio station's Facebook page, saying it sounded like Jo could "definitely use it".
"Wasn't it just the most beautiful response?" one comment read.
"Very cool, how lucky to receive a call from Ed," another said. "So very well deserved!" added a third.
