Kanye West's new girlfriend Julia Fox confessed to being a "diehard" fan of the Kardashians just two weeks before beginning a romance with the rapper.
Fox, who recently spilled the beans on her relationship with the hip-hop star in a blog for Interview Magazine, discussed West's recent divorce from Kim Kardashian on the Forbidden Fruits podcast in December - unaware she'd soon be canoodling with him in public.
The Uncut Gems star revealed she remembered the exact moment West and Kardashian announced their divorce last year, asking her co-host Niki Takesh: "Can we talk about the Kim and Kanye divorce? Wait, can we talk about Kim and Pete Davidson, though?"
Both Fox and Takesh declared themselves "OG, diehard Kardashian fans", with Fox even revealing she "wanted them to be her family".
"I'm gonna miss Keeping Up. I've been watching Keeping Up since it first came out in 2007, like when watching it was embarrassing," she said.
"I, like, wanted them to be my family... you feel like you know them," Fox continued.
"It's a different relationship, a deeper one, it's like you're happy for them when something good happens."
Just two weeks later, Fox would meet West on New Year's Eve in Miami, describing their "instant connection" for Interview Magazine.
She detailed how on their first date, the 'Stronger' hitmaker directed an entire photo shoot for Fox at one of her favourite restaurants,"while people dined".
He later surprised her with an "entire hotel suite full of clothes", which she said "felt like a real Cinderella moment".
Fox admitted she "didn't know where things were headed" in terms of her new relationship, but it appears her dreams of making a family connection with the Kardashians could be closer than she ever thought possible.
