New footage has emerged which appears to show Jada Pinkett Smith laughing after her husband Will Smith slapped Chris Rock in the face.
At the Academy Awards earlier this week, Smith slapped Rock and yelled at him to "keep my wife's name out of your f**king mouth" after the comedian made a joke about Pinkett Smith's bald head.
Rock referred to Pinkett Smith, who suffers from the hair loss condition alopecia, as 'G.I. Jane'. Rock has since claimed he didn't know about her condition.
The incident made headlines all around the world with people debating whose side they are on, but now debates have turned to whether Pinkett Smith was amused by the slap or not.
The video filmed from a row behind Pinkett Smith shows her throwing her head forward in what appears to be laughter later after the slap.
The timing looks like she is laughing at Rock's comment, "wow, Will Smith just slapped the s**t out of me."
People have taken to social media to express their opinions on the video.
"Jada Pinkett Smith laughing her a** off while her husband assaults Chris Rock," one person wrote.
"@jadapsmith just saw a video of you laughing after the slap. Lost all credibility and respect. I suggest both you and will see a counsellor," another person tweeted.
Others are defending Pinkett Smith over the hurtful joke.
"In all of this, not one person involved has issued an apology to Jada. Like, cut the performance," a Twitter user wrote.
Since the incident, Smith has publicly apologised and Rock has confirmed he won't press charges.
The organisation behind the Academy Awards has condemned Smith's actions and launched disciplinary proceedings against him, where he will have the chance to be heard before they decide his punishment.
