Prince Harry will 'go after' Charles and Camilla in his upcoming memoir, royal author claims

Prince Harry will "go after" Charles and Camilla in his upcoming explosive memoir and "deepen the rift" with Prince William, a top royal author claims.

Harry, who lives in California with his wife Meghan and two children, is reported to have received a £15 million (NZ$28.4 million) advance for his book that is set for release later this year.

Former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown, who was friends with Princess Diana, said Harry "can't stand" Camilla and doesn't want her to be Queen, The Sun reported.

"Harry's not going to go after the Queen, she's sacrosanct. And he probably won't go after Kate, who he's very fond of," Brown said.

"But he will go after Charles and Camilla and maybe William."

Harry's book publication could be more damaging than his and Meghan's bombshell interview with Oprah, Brown also claimed. In that, they revealed a senior member of the royal family questioned how dark the skin of the couple's first child may be and that Kate Middleton made Meghan cry.

"William was disgusted about Meghan's attack on Kate because she can't answer back," Brown told The Telegraph.

"But that's nothing compared to how furious he's going to be when this book comes out."

Brown said the relationship between Harry and William is "very bad". She added that William "has been a grown-up" and "accepted Camilla" in terms of what she means to Charles, but Harry hasn't.

"Harry, on the other hand, can't stand Camilla. He doesn't want Camilla to be Queen."

Brown is due to release her own book next week, The Palace Papers: Inside the House of Windsor, for which she interviewed 120 people linked to senior royals.
