Armie Hammer hasn't worked in Hollywood for quite some time, but is a switch to the hospitality industry on the cards?

A rumour Hammer has been working as a hotel concierge has plunged the disgraced actor back into the spotlight after laying low for the past couple of years following several allegations of sexual abuse.

Earlier this week, a flyer went viral on Twitter, depicting Hammer as a concierge employee at a hotel in the Caymen Islands called Morritt's Resorts.

"My friend's parents went on vacation in the Cayman Islands and Armie Hammer was their concierge," the deleted tweet from the verified account Muna Mire said.

Photos also emerged following the actor wearing a blue polo shirt and matching navy pants - a uniform similar to hotel staff at the resort, the Daily Mail reported.

A lawyer for Hammer confirmed to Variety that the flyer was fake and a hotel staff member told the outlet it was all a prank.

Hammer has been living at the resort throughout the pandemic as a guest of the hotel.

He plays golf with some of the hotel staff and reportedly some of those staff members made the flyer and sent it to a few rooms at the resort as a prank, Variety reported.

The flyer said, "I am your personal concierge and am here to help you get the very best from your vacation".

"I'll give you free orientation about the island: where [to go] swimming with wild turtles, the best snorkelling and diving sports. Reasonable prices for bioluminescence and fishing trips."

The employee told the outlet the hotel has received a lot of publicity and incoming phone calls since the tweet.

It is the first time Hammer has appeared in the media since he was laying low following various women including two of his exes Paige Lorenze and Courtney Vucekovich made claims of emotional and sexual abuse following leaked screenshots emerging over social media.

Hammer made headlines in 2021 after a series of shocking leaked private messages emerged where Hammer allegedly admitted to being a cannibal, discusses rape fantasies, and talks about having "slaves", among other disturbing topics.

Hammer has denied all allegations but his ex-girlfriend Jessica Ciencin Henriquez, tweeted that she believed the messages shared online were real.

Later that year, it was reported that the actor has checked into a rehabilitation facility for drug, alcohol and sex addictions.

Hammer was last seen in the film Death on the Nile which was filmed in 2019, prior to his scandal, but only released this year due to disruptions from COVID-19.
