Drax Project, Shihad, Shapeshifter, Gin Wigmore and Ladi6 have been revealed as part of the first announcement of acts lined up for the 2023 Jim Beam Homegrown festival.

The event is set to take place in Wellington on March 18, marking the festival's 15th anniversary.

Other acts announced on Wednesday include Sir Dave Dobbyn, SACHI, Mitch James, Katchafire, JessB, Lee Mvtthews, Sons of Zion and Savage in what organisers say will be "one of the most diverse line-ups of summer".

Festival director Andrew Tuck says the 2023 event will benefit from some behind the scenes changes.

"It's been difficult for everyone this year and together with WellingtonNZ our goal is to allow Kiwis to let their hair down for a day, come together and celebrate who we are through our music.

"We've made some exciting changes to the festival layout that will make it a fresh experience for our loyal fans and ensure it's one of the best festival experiences of summer for those that haven't celebrated with us before.”

A full line-up announcement is promised for early November.

Tickets are on sale now.
