Kiwi celebrity chef Chelsea Winter's "fairytale" home is up for sale, giving someone the opportunity to be the new owner of her famous dream kitchen.

The 2012 Masterchef NZ winner is selling her 'Olive Hill' home in Te Puna for an asking price of $2.49 million.

"A fairy tale lifestyle awaits at this beautiful property full of places to enjoy and explore," the property description states.

"Olive Hill is a special home, wonderfully executed in design with vaulted ceilings and substantial living space as well as a designer kitchen fit for a professional cook."

For the past three years, Winter and her partner Douglas Renall lived in Olive Hill with their two young children.

The pair said they are going to miss their home.

From its iconic kitchen to the vege garden, the home has been featured in Winter's cookbook and has been a prominent backdrop on her social media.

Winter created her best-selling 2020 cookbook Supergood in the Olive Hill kitchen and has been testing for her new cookbook there too.

"This kitchen has been an utter dream for me – that beautiful solid oak island bench has been my home for the past few years," Winter said. "It's like an old friend now, I'll miss it a lot."

"Every time I looked up from the sink to see the Mount and the water in the distance, I had to pinch myself. And oh, the space – there’s literally a place for everything you could ever need and more.

"Such a treat! Basically, the sky's the limit with a kitchen like this, and yet it's still somehow cosy and inviting."

Winter said in a post on social media she will be leaving her Bay of Plenty home to move across the country, however, she did not reveal where.

"I'm gonna miss my kitchen. I may never find one like it again" Winter said.

However, she said it is time for new adventures and to follow her heart.
