Wu-Tang Clan to play Auckland's Spark Arena in May 2023 for NY State of Mind tour

Hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan will play a one off New Zealand date as part of their 2023 global NY State of Mind tour.

The 'Gravel Pit' hitmakers, along with Nas, will play Auckland's Spark Arena on Tuesday, May 9.

As a group, Wu-Tang Clan have three platinum albums among their eight LPs and the group's complete anthology including solo albums has more than 85 full-length releases.

The group's original members include RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killa.

The NY State of Mind has been recently nominated for 2022's Hip Hop Tour of the year by live music industry publication Pollstar.

Pre-sales begin on Wednesday, March 1 before general tickets go on sale from Monday, March 6.

It's not the first time Wu-Tang Clan has played New Zealand.

They headlined the Raggamuffin festival in February 2016 and also played Christchurch and Auckland in 2018.
