Multi award-winner Lizzo is to play a one-off date in Auckland in July as part of the Special Tour 2023.

The 'About Damn Time' rapper will play Auckland's Spark Arena on Wednesday, July 26.

The Grammy and Emmy award winner will be supported by Tkay Maidza.

Pre-sales begin on Friday, March 24, with general public tickets going on sale from Wednesday, March 29.

Lizzo's career has taken off since releasing her debut album Cuz I Love You in 2019, with songs like 'Truth Hurts' and 'Good as Hell' reaching multi-platinum status.

The only New Zealand tour date comes as part of a global tour that will see Lizzo play Poland, Glastonbury, Australia, Japan, Sweden as well as the US.

She first toured New Zealand in January 2020 at the West Auckland FOMO festival.

Aotearoa was the final stop on Lizzo's Cuz I Love You world tour at the time, and she filmed various videos for her social media at Piha while here.
